INTRODUCTION OF ALOO TIKKI RECIPE

Aloo Tikki

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon of amchur powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • Oil, for shallow frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chili, salt, chaat masala, amchur powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  2. Sprinkle cornstarch over the mixture and mix it until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty.
  4. Heat some oil in a shallow frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the patties in the pan and shallow fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or mint yogurt sauce.
