Grilled Cheese Tikka – Vegan – Easy

Ingredients:

  • 200g firm tofu
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tofu into small cubes and marinate with lemon juice and salt for 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, paprika, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour and water to create a batter.
  4. Coat each tofu cube with the batter, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture to fully coat.
  5. In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the coated tofu cubes until crispy and golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  6. Serve the fried cheese tikka on sticks with a side of chutney or sauce. Enjoy!
