How I Korean-Style Soupy Noodles Using Leftovers

On a Monday night, my husband suddenly craved Korean-style soupy noodles like the ones traditionally eaten in Korea. I looked at him skeptically because I had never attempted to make that dish before, but I didn’t want to disappoint him. Instead, I decided to experiment with the ingredients I had at home, and the results were amazing.

To start, I made black lentils with roti for dinner on Monday, and the day before, I prepared chicken tikka for Sunday dinner. With these leftovers in mind, I began my experiment to create Korean-style soupy noodles with a twist.

The first step was to create a broth. I decided to use Knorr’s soupy noodles mix because I knew it would provide the perfect base for my dish. I followed the instructions on the package and boiled the soup mix in water until it was cooked.

Next, I chopped two pieces of leftover chicken tikka into thin slices. I knew the chicken tikka would be a perfect addition to the soup, providing the broth with a smoky and spicy flavor. I then added the sliced chicken tikka to the broth and let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

To add texture and nutrition to the dish, I added some cooked black lentils to the broth. The black lentils provided a nice contrast to the soup and added some earthy flavors to the plate.
